Welcome to The Willowed Path

This willowed pathway leads to the extra-ordinary Hamlet of South Baleful. Along its meandering course you will discover the bits and sundries that make the residents of the Hamlet of South Baleful, who they are. So, as you wind your way down the Willowed Path, take the time to enjoy what you find. And please, don’t mind the faeries – they can be SUCH a bother, this time of year.

Wreath Making

Ah, it is now Autumn. The morning air is as crisp as a freshly picked apple, and new colors are emerging within the hedges and gardens. New crafting opportunities abound! One favorite Fall project, is of course, the wreath.

After doing a right and proper search for ways of weaving wreaths, I came upon a very helpful piece, written by Jane Lake. Her directions are simple and easy to follow. I hope you take the time to read what she has to say, and give her teachings a try.

RIP

Sad tidings have just come to me. On April 28, Joe Kilna MacKenzie passed, after a long illness. Joe was a drummer, piper, and co-founder of the celtic tribal band, 'Clann an Drumma'. He will be greatly missed.

Take Time

Remember, dear friends, to take the time to enjoy the small things. These wonders are all about, quiet, yet ever present, like the whispers of the fae. Taking these small moments, and seeing them as would a small child, will warm your life with a richness, and a depth, missing in our more modern turmoil. Take the time. Breath in their breath. Acknowledge their spirit. And then, find ways to give it back, ten-fold. This is how the heart breathes, and nourishes its body.
